This autobiography was written when Betzalel was 91. He wrote in Hebrew, then translated it in his own handwriting to English for members of the family who could not read Hebrew.

His introduction:
During the years I described briefly to my two children Arnona Axelrod and Arieh on different suitable occasions, some chapters of the story of my life. When I reached 91, they asked me to write the story as detailed as possible. I accepted this challenge willingly.
Interpretation
The material has been edited for clarity and focus, while still retaining the flavor of Betzalel's language. Parts of the document that do not reflect on old country life are briefly summarized.
